With the festival plaza you have to stop your game and go there everytime you want to connect, and it takes a while with the game saving and stuff. They also removed the customizable text and your only options are the retarded preset phrases.
Gen 7 is my favorite of all time and I always defend it but I have to admit the online was a huge downgrade.
