I haven't bred Pokemon since around the launch of Gen 6. Pls give me a rundown because I don't remember how it works exactly and it's just a fucking annoying headache trying to get back into it.

So I pass down the nature by having the mother hold an everyone right?

I pass down IVs how? It honestly sounds easier to just ignore IVs and Max them out with bottlecaps, am I wrong?

You can pass down nature from either parent now, I think
A destiny knot will IVs from the parents more likely to pass down to the eggs
bottlecaps require farming BP and grinding to 100, they're only worth it for patching up pokemon with several perfect IVs already I think

It's even worse because I'm a karenfag. It's disheartening knowing I'll spend 15 hours doing boring autistic shit I don't want to do just to breed my "perfect" Shiftry and "perfect" Pyukumuku knowing I'll go online and be slapped down with ease by dynamax Gyarados and Dragapult and shit. online battles are 6v6 instead of 3v3 now
it's entirely possible for someone to simply get a 1 mon advantage and just stall the game out for 20 turns and get the win

I know about the cull. It pisses me off because if I wanted to make a team of my six all time favorites, the team I'd want irl, my champion team, whatever you want to call it. Five of the Pokemon I'd want on that team are in the game but Emboar isn't, and that fucks up everything for me.
