Only two complaints I have is One Try and that's It. I've failed every raid capture with an Ultra Ball for two fucking days (I'm dead serious). 20 failed Raid Catches in a row.

The second is the AI at least have decent Pokemon. Not even game breaking. But a Magikarp? Really? A Solrock that only does Cosmic Power? A Heatmor that only shows up when the Raid has his weakness? Give them decent Pokemon or match the enemy. Pokemon Masters does this at least.

What is the level of the monster you're using?

This game punishes you heavily for a monster of similar or lower level than the thing you're trying to catch, and 5-star dynamaxes range in the lvl 60 range and 5-star gigamaxes can be lvl 70.

I just hate the AI pairings sometimes and how shields and damage is handled. If an attack is SE, it should break two nodes. And a Pokémon shouldn’t be able to get multiple shields of the same length unless they are high tier raids.

You have 100% capture on your own raid if it IS NOT event raid (Butterfree, Centiskorch, Sandaconda, Drednaw, Corviknight). Low capture rate otherwise.

This, they could have improved it by adding better pokemon. maybe having gym leaders and rivals start appering as you progress through the game

One of the two, either rare pokémon appear more often or the catch rate is 50%+.
The pokémon are super rare because GF expects you to costantly join into other people's raids, which yeah it makes sense, but paired with the dogshit catch rate it makes the process extremely obnoxious.

Even the exploit doesn't fix this, I've found myself resetting for more than one hour just to find one pokémon.

literally unplayable without the better raid trainers mod, and even then the AI is still retarded so sometimes it doesn't make any difference. Very half-assed for what's supposed to be this gen's main gimmick

I think that's it. Raids are honestly fun but they need A LOT of polish. Please dont abandon them in Gen 9

Right now there is 0 depth to them. There is pretty much no reason not to just bring your strongest attacker with specs/band and spam your strongest move. Buffing is pointless because the big boi removes buffs. Hazards do nothing. Status only works during that 1 turn when the shield is down so you almost never get any and the big boi can heal them too.

Just set up the relevant screen for the raid Pokémon and your partners practically never die. At which point you just spam your attacks.
And before someone says “don’t waste a move with useless status moves”, consider that turn 2, the raid Pokémon outspeeds and knocks out 2 partners. You lose 4 turns of potential damage. Setting up one screen to ensure longevity is what’s let me solo every raid. There hasn’t been a single one I’ve had to spend more than 2 tries.
That being said; fuck wobbuffet.

It would be more interesting if you could select who is helping you - e.g. you could borrow the help of gym leaders, important npcs during the story etc.

My very first raid battle was as soon as I entered the wild zone, and it was a mudbray that stamina boosted to max defense at all times.

I thought raid battles were near impossible for half the game because of this.

I used Will O Wisp and Curse on a Steelix and he took barely any damage each turn from both.

I'm willing to bet Pain Split doesn't work either
