The question is not about an in universe rationalisation, it’s about the way this one town has absolutely nothing to do with England (Galar) and seems like it was thrown in there with no obvious reason.
The same happened with Jhoto town in sun and moon, but obviously that was there for nostalgia. Stow on Side however doesn’t look like anything from a previous game, the closest thing to resemble it would be one of the towns from Pokemon colosseum or Unova (both based on America).
So the question is, in a game that does it’s best to create “Pokemon Britain”, from the bobbies to the red telephone booths, to the double decker “bus” monorail in Wyndon - what the hell is this town doing here?
