I didn't see one of these up, and I had a question so I thought I'd make one.

I want to use a friend's switch to trade Pokemon from my finished Sword to my new Shield. Since I'm playing both of them on my Switch, will I be able to trade if I put one of them on my friend's Switch? I'm not sure if it saves to the Switch or to the Cart.

You can't change your gender, even with hacks. Too much in the save is affected by it.

However, your hair/eyes/makeup you can changed by any style shop. I can't speak for clothes, but I imagine it's like previous games where you can change it any town.

Not sure on the save slots as didn't buy the game. It probably only has one like all pokemon games. There is also no cloud saving.

Technically only one save slot, but it’s per account, so you could just make a dummy account on your Switch if you want another save.

Save games are saved to the console, not the cart. In fact, I don't even think it's possible to transfer saves without homebrew.

Jolly if you're running the Bully Drum self-zen set, because you're gonna be hitting like meteor at +6 160 base anyway. You really want the opportunity to get the drop on other Darms and hit them with a fighting move, or outspeed any Dragapult using a neutral speed, + atk/special nature after the Zen mode transformation.

Adamant is the second best for it if you distrust the reliability of bully drum in self-setting Zen and instead want to count on hazards or switching in.

Is that why the Raid Battles are so tough? The Pokemon's HP are just through the roof? But all the other stats are the same?
Like if I fought a regular Drednaw vs. a Dynamax'd Drednaw, something like Giga Drain should deal massive damage to it. If they were both the same level, it should do the same amount of damage, but the Dynamax'd Drednaw will probably live through it just because of how much HP it has?

Are Star and Ribbon Sweets actually obtainable? I've been using the date change exploit to farm sweets from the cafe battles for the past three days and I haven't gotten either one yet. I've also seen dozens of other people having trouble finding them, are they just obscenely rare?

The raid mon being dynamaxed is the least of your concerns in the raid. It's their ability to assrape your entire team with debuffs, Max Move every 2 turns and the ability to shit out shields to render them invulnerable for 2 to 3 turns. Pair that with them being able to nullify all abilities, stat changes and stat raises in battle at will and attack three times...
Yeah, that is 5 star raids.

No, kill bonus doesn't apply.
Using both things, I'd say average is 300-400. But you can still get unlucky and take 2000, or lucky and get it in 7

It turns out it's really some virus from a giant space dragon Pokemon, parts of it were falling to earth. some guy brings it to earth because he wants to gmax all the wild pokemon, and you fight and catch it.

Seasoned players/breeders will generally have a Pokémon ready faster trough breeding than farming BP.
That being said, it's great for people like you who might want to check it out. You can basically make any mon viable, unless you neer HA.

The only real reason is for breeding purposes. IVs and Natures can be passed down where hyper trained IVs and mint-stats can't be. It doesn't help that mints and bottle caps are a pain in the ass to get with how much BP they are and how little BP you get from battles.
Also keep in mind mints are brand new to swsh and hyper training was from sun/moon, so these are still relatively new concepts.

If you're using hacked mons, any Pokemon can be at least decent
Pure Electric only has one weakness, being Ground, which Air Balloon would remove
While Wonder Guard would protect you from every other move
It's not foolproof of course, but you're invulnerable to a majority of what you come across

Depends on game (I'll be assuming Gen VII), but breeding is how you do it. The mon that gets the move the quickest is Turtouga at level 15. Otherwise Kabuto gets Aqua Jet at level 24. If you don't have access to fossils, your best bet is Surskit who gets it at level 30, otherwise Clauncher can get it at level 43. Make sure the mon with Aqua Jet is male and the Wimpod is female, and with that you can pass Aqua Jet onto a Wimpod offspring.

How much do you intend to play?

If it's just for the story I would recommend Sun, but if you plan to do all post-game content, fill the Pokedex etc., Ultra has more to it.

Sun and Moons story is honestly quite good, but the changes made to the story in USUM to accomodate the big marketing thing (Necrozma namely) kind of just change the entire third act and drops most character arc conclusions. Lillies character for example resolves entirely differently and with far less context.

But the Ultra games add enough that if you don't care for the story specifically, it's definitely the superior choice.
