All starter Pokemon from gen. VI onward have had signature hidden abilities, right? I'm working on my own personal fakedex and I'm trying to decide whether it would be more broken to give them existing beneficial abilities, or create a new HA for each one.

I think only Chesnaught, Decidueye, Primarina, and now Cinderace do have one

Since Gen III they do have signature moves (they skip Gen IV, tho), but they are normally signature for a limited time, and in the next games something else learn them

Actually, correcting myself, they skipped the moves in Gen V as well. So only III, VI, VII and now VIII had exclusive moves for starters.

I could swear Leaf Tornado and Shell Blade were exclusives to the starters in Black and White

I'm just using existing abilities for the starters and I'll come up with new ones for other mons. Signature moves will be fun. And I don't even remember Shell Blade being a move

It's text of both Protean and Libero abilities, so yes, Libero function exactly the same as Protean.
