I would suggest you to use eviolite Rhydon as a defensive stealth rock option and leave Lunatone entirely to the Calm Mind set

Rhydon is surprisingly bulky against special attacks barring grass/water moves, even moreso in Sandstorm

Your biggest problem is going to have an answer against a water-type player, as you have no good defensive switch-ins other than Barbaracle/Drednaw that still take heavy damage in rain

Lunatone has Grass Knot and Coalossal can use Solar Beam after using G-Max and setting sun with Max Flare, but defensively and without prior setup you are boned

Building my first competitive team ever, basing it on a lot of memes I've been reading from /cftg/ threads the last couple weeks and I need a lot of help. I've only bred two good (5 max IV, 1 Very Good IV) Inteleons that I'm not using, want to breed some more good mons.

I also have a choice band'd Atk/Spe Zamazenta close combat slut but I can't use that in competitive. I want to get good at primarily 3v3 so I know a Rain team would be helpful, but I feel like I want to be more versatile than that.

I know very little about team composition, but I think I need tankier dudes. Whatever Wall mons you guys recommend I'll start breeding because I really enjoyed that.

first of all, change Dracovish to Jolly, the most important speed bench it's going to cover will be Jolly Gyarados at +1 after a Max Airstream use

Corviknight seems fine, though I would make space for Bulk Up, setup + Body press is crazy good

after that you want answers against G-Darm that otherwise fucks with your current team composition, Rotom-F and Dugtrio can check it, and a Ferrothorn/Pelipper core can try do diminish the power of its flare blitz coverage

Hnng is there any easier way than making new Dracovishes to permanently changing their nature? That Choice Scarf has made him a beast in the test matches I've had. 4+ Best IVs is hard enough considering those fucks can't breed, but if it's that worth I'll start spamming the dig bros again.

I just got a TR for Bulk Up so I'm probably gonna drop Rock Smash for it. Hype for Body Press + max defense with Corv.

I caught some Dugtrio, Wingull, and Ferrothorn recently to start breeding, still waiting for the weather for Rotom. I think I'm going to start with Ferrothorn. Are there any egg moves I should shoot for?

Ferrothorn should have Leech Seed as an egg move, Knock-Off and Toxic are optional
Dugtrio should have Memento as an option at least
The only relevant egg move Wingull gets is Knock-Off, and its moveset is kind of lacking desu, so get it in there

the nature doesn't change, only the stats change to reflect said nature, so your dracovish will still be quirky, but will have a stat growth reflecting the adamant nature
it will only need to be used, it doesn't need to hold it

perfect IVs are important to change some KOs into 2HKOs and 2KOs into 3KOs, try to get a Ditto with those beforehand to breed, however, I think your fossil is fine the way it is ATM

Fair enough; I would prefer a hyper offense or balanced approach. The other pokemon don't really matter as much, although Corviknight, Grimmsnarl and/or a Fossilmon would be nice.
I've tried pokeaimd's team for a template, but i was hoping for more unga bunga and also don't want to use predictable e-celeb teams. Might also have a problem with fire weakness.

Orbeetle honestly isn't that bad, it's got as lot of use as a utility mon and it's been puttin in work for me on PS. it's bulky, fast for how defensive it is, and it's typing isn't too bad once you realize it has no 4x weaknesses. Something like this should serve you well:
Orbeetle @ Leftovers
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 248 HP / 92 Def / 168 Spe
Impish Nature
- Sticky Web
- U-turn
- Recover
- Hypnosis/Body Press/Psychic
could go more defensive if you're not lookin to outspeed base Corviknight or if you want a slower pivot

DD set is overrated. you can keep pivoting in lando or heatran eat hits and lower the attack. KB can't boost further and is stuck mindless attacking while dynamaxed.
there is no possibility of snowballing unlike gyarados or weather abusers. icicle spear is shit.

ash-greninja is more abusive of dynamax than gyarados. the max blackhole move lowers spedef, so even without battle bond, special walls die
ironically, if ash-gren dyanamaxes, the best way to check it is with a revenge killer. it can't use water shuriken and is an easy kill for kartana, dragapult

use it with prankster and status, Thunder Wave and substitute allow you to stall and revenge kill dynamax pokemon much easier, if you think you are just fine without revenge capabilities and prefer Bulk Up + 2 STABs and a screen/taunt ok, but then make room for a choice scarf ditto

two specs pokemon is overkill, particularly since both of them fullfill similar roles, they can revenge kill and wallbreak behind substitutes, so change one for a wall/utility Pokemon. you are tremendously weak to G-Darmanitan that can smell the scarf in dragapult coming from a mile away and Corviknight needs to be healthy to check G-Darm, try G-Corsola for general walling purposes

That team has bunch of solid good stuff so I'd try slapping something interesting there, like Justified Arcanine and Beat Up on Whimsicott.

And instead of Guts Obstagoon have Defiant on it and maybe Adrenaline Orb, also Low Kick sucks now since Dynamaxed mons will be unaffected by it, though I guess its alright against T-Tar, but maybe Close Combat would be better.

>Gengar now used Shadow Ball/Substitute, changed to Modest, and switched to Red Card

My plan is to lead with Toxtricity and if he encounters something he can't outspeed/out damage he volt switches. If it is an enemy with a tricky ability he switches into Weezing to turn it off. The Explosion is a surprise for Weezing to take someone out if necessary. Otherwise he switches into an appropriate counter to the threat.

You might want to scarf tox, it's fairly slow otherwise. Could a band or crit claw on drapion to work with sniper.

Between the people I'm gonna be facing in the monotype tournament there is essentially no ground to worry about, which is the reason I changed him over from levitate.

I changed Tox's Toxic for Icy Wind because I honestly would prefer to burn most targets with scald instead.

give them opponent types again and I'll tell you how many earthquakes you have to worry about. It's literally the most splashable coverage move in the game and theres a 99% chance SOMETHING will have it on each time.

And of course you want to burn most stuff with scald, but if you encounter a stallmon tox is way better because it will actually kill it instead of chipping. If someone has ghost you're going to see g-corsola for sure and you'll be kicking yourself if you can't tox that little shit.

handful of water/grounds and gyarados could run it since he doesn't have to worry about other waters to power whip, dracovish will be on the team if he isn't stupid so that's probably another one
same with dracozolt or electric
nearly every steel type will have access to eq, especially the fucking meta mole. As long as it isn't isn't mold breaker you get a free switch in with weezing and can hope that it's stab iron head doesn't one shot you.

My main problems with your team:
>Toxapex should be a physical wall with rocky helmet. It's the best physical wall in the game, let the rest of the team handle special threats.
>Weezing needs defog. Also, in my experience protect is much more useful than pain split.
>Drapion is your psychic immunity, it needs to be bulky because you can't afford to lose it until the psychic threats are gone.

Okay just got 2 corsolas with 5 IVs and HA. How do I build the Cursola? Its modest so it still has perfect speed IVs, couldnt get one with 0 for trick room. The other corsola is the standard eviolite build so I'm good on that.

-Recover/Calm Mind

Orbeetle has so many weaknesses but such solid defenses that weakness policy seems made for it. Very few super effective attacks would OHKO. Not to mention, with an agility boost and policy going off Stored Power is like 140 base and can annihilate. Bug buzz is to punish dark types switching in. It has been pretty successful in the Battle Tower but AI is infinitely more retarded than actual players.

Whatever I like and making random sets to see if it'll work. It's surprising to see how many people forget that Avalugg gets mirror coat.

All in all I just find making off sets work the best for hail, since it makes it rather hard for your opponent to predict.

I haven't seen one running rock moves yet, eq is resisted, iron head is like a 3-5 hit KO I think, and magic coat is priority if they try throwing out sneaky pebbles

A strong fast dragon or fairy type. Dragapult is very easy to fit into a singles team, idk about Doubles

Not that anon but Damanitan is easily one of the most popular pokemon this gen, and for good reason. The pokemon I would consider it almost mandatory to have a counter to this gen are Darmanitan, Excadrill, and Gyarados.
