Yeah anon, lots of Legendary Pokémon are what ruined the series.

Not the decreasing difficulty
Not the increasing lack of player agency
Not the increasingly linear world design
Not the decreasing content from game to game
Not the splitting of third versions
Not the shorter development times
Not the removal of gap years
Not the incompetent developers

It was all the new Legendary Pokémon to find. Hall of Origin BAD because Arceus in game and TOO MANY LEGEND

Type: Null and Silvally are legendaries. UBs are not, but are considered to be sub-legendaries in the code. You're right that Eternatus should be there tho

Gen 3 started it all with its gay space shit. They should have just skipped out on Jirachi and had ONE bonus legendary, now we have like 7 per gen each with new forms.

The box legends and Arceus had a cool story, the inclusion of Regigigas was fantastic and added to the awesome quest that was finding the regis, but the rest can go. Just cutting out the lake Trio would have been enough

Yeah, Gen4 definitely started something, but Gen5 is the root of all evil.

Gen6 seemed an attempt of redemption, but clearly it did not manage to save this franchise.

Gen IV was more difficult than any previous Gen
Gen IV, or at least DP, gave the player more freedom with the paths they took and promoted backtracking
Gen IV's map had numerous intersections, split paths, and the next location often wasn't immediately next on the map
Gen IV had a shitton of content
Gen IV did NOT split Platinum into two versions
Gen IV had 4 years of development time, tied with Gen II and V as the longest excluding the outlier that is Gen I
Gen IV had a gap year between DP and Platinum
Gen IV was Game Freak doing better than ever, especially before Masuda went crazy

Yes they are, the term "sub-legendary" is used for the likes of Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Latias, Latios, the three Regis, etc.
