You can't be unbiased when judging anything, that's the whole point of judging, otherwise you'd just be listing characteristics (and even then which ones you pick out will still be reflective of what you deem important to know).
Playing the game, making your own opinion, and then reading reviews to make you think back on your experience and create nuance in your opinion, while still biased is a much fairer way to judge things.
