>>41583447>People may shit on 5-8 designs but for every weak one it has some of the best in the series. Volcarona, Trevenant, Golisopod, Grimmsnarl etc.Gen IV had tons of amazing designs too. Togekiss, Gliscor, Weavile, Yanmega, Toxicroak, Drapion, Porygon Z, Honchkrow, Floatzel, Gastrodon and the list goes on.
>Gen IV not only introduced bad designs but ruined old favorites.Ruined is really subjective. The cross evos were neat ways to tie in every generation together as Sinnoh was supposed to be the culmination of the first three gens. And they also made forgettable pokemon like Yanma, Aipom or Sneasel popular.
>Pokemon like Magmortar, Purugly, Tangrowth and Rhyperior are still cited as some of the worst in the seriesThe only one that can even be considered questionable is Rhyperior and maybe Magmortar. Tangrowth is an absolute bro and Purugly is also amazing.
>and it also added more babies, and overabundance of Legendaries There is literally nothing wrong with baby mons, and in many cases it makes it easier to get the evolution of the pokemon. Like Budew or Chingling. And the legendaries were a lot because Sinnoh was lore focused.
