I don't like the owl
If the owl replaced the grass starter in any earlier gen, it would be the worst starter. The only starter from gens 1-6 that gives it a run for its money in the shit department is Chestnaught.
But in gen 7, when its competition are a tranny sea lion and a literal furry? It's by far the best in its gen.

Rowlet is still the most popular Pokemon in gen 7. And it brings in alot of Merch money. Rowlet had it's own line of products for example mokuroh garden. And often a times, it's has it's own other merch together with pikachu or piplup or other popular cutemons that other gen7 starters are not involved in.

I wish Decidueye kept the butler theme that Dartrix had.

I agree but mainly because it fits Decidueye more than Grass/Ghost. It feels like a last minute typing change to make it more interesting a la the jellicent line.

I like both Rowlet and Popplio's line. A little indifferent to Litten's but Incineroar has a fun personality. Favorite is Popplio's though because Primarina is so pretty.
