Once you defeat the villian team, those doesnt disband but they hide and make some raids to get resourses to raise agaon in power

There are Z-guardians, trainers that once you defeat rewards you with a Z-crystal, but depending on the type of the crystal you can only use pokemon of that type if you want to challenge theme

Mega-stones can only be get as reward if you win the master-tier contest with the respective pokemon and only if this pokemon has max friendship and affection

Maybe something else in the first chapter, like an objective to follow as you make your way through. Open world sounds great until you've played Crystal Clear and have nothing to do. The rest sounds good though.

Make the gym challenge propperly difficult and go in with the team of your choice, not limited by the location of pokemon and gyms, also making the defeating of the villians as epic as BW

In the first chapter you get to overthrow some raids from the evil team as prelude of the third chapter.

Also the region is divided in several regions (forest, desert, mountain, sea, etc) each region has their own rival to defeat if you want to have full access to such region

Fuck the pokedex, to me it was always an optional shit and I want nothing to do with it
For me pokemon is about traveling the region, mounting a team of 6 carefully chosen bros (and not one more) and collecting badges during the journey

One last thing, theres a new feature called Meta-training

You visit a den where Manaphy lives, this use heart swap to change body between you and a pokemon of your choice.

Now you are a pokemon and go out to EV training. Every time you find a pokemon to battle you can graphically percive wich stat will get rose up and how much. You also have a counter that shows exactly how much EV points had you got and how much left you have to reach your maximum.
