I have literally tried to make him good for years and he is still terrible. Please give suggestions.
The only things I know for a fact are staples are Adamant, Chlorophyll, and Sucker Punch. I don't think I can get Defog on him anymore in gen 8, which is fine, but outside of Sucker Punch and the grass STAB of choice I don't even know what moves to put on him anymore. He has good special coverage options like Heat Wave and Icy Wind, but 90 SpA with an Adamant Nature makes it seem completely pointless to use those. The reason I don't go Modest is Mixed is because Shiftry doesn't have the BST for that. 100 Attack even with an Adamant nature doesn't really hit very hard, so when it comes to the special attacks I just write them off.
