>>41612337>>41612379Do you care about singles? Or doubles? In singles, Specs Dragapult is better than mixed or physical. There are a lot of monstrous physical attackers like g-Darm, so plenty of teams have more physically defensive walls. Dragapult's special coverage is wide enough to usually tag or threaten a physical wall with a super-effective move, and spamming draco meteor is always an ok back up plan now that pursuit is gone.
For doubles, I'd recommend a Dragon Dance Life Orb/Dragon Fang set, with Dragon Claw over Dragon Darts. Your Dragapult's job is basically going to be your answer for opposing Dragons and Bulky Psychics. Giving Dragapult that specific job is already a huge role, while asking it to go mixed on top of that is asking too much.
Phantom Force is also a lot better in Doubles than in Singles, as with Drag's speed it acts like a pseudo Protect when needed. Also, switching is much, much more difficult to do in doubles, because Phantom Force clicking the Psychic slot can force the opponent to pull out their ghost resist, only for it to get bopped by your teammate. In singles, the opportunity cost of switching vs. Phantom Force is a lot less, making Shadow Ball a much more appealing ghost stab to spam in singles.
