My brother just started playing his first mon game with shield and overall he's enjoying it. At some point, he got a machoke and i realised he could only evolve it to its final stage if he traded with someone. (He wasn't even aware there was a third stage), I've been wondering is there an in-game way to trade with another player and immediately gets you and the other party their original mon back? Like a built-in system that basically guarantees your mon won't be stolen if you trade with a rando online or if you trade with a disloyal friend/or if you just don't have any friends with the game. Cause if not that seems like a major game flaw, cause trading IRL isn't even a 100% guarantee of getting it back cause they can just runoff.
Or is there a more common way that people use to get the final evolution of trade link pokemon.
