Because I highly doubt we're getting national dex again. It's most likely going to be regional pokemon plus some major heavy hitters. So you're basically admitting you're never playing the released games again and only ever gonna play hacked national pokedex versions. I'm waiting it patiently anyway, even if modders were demi-gods and managed to perfectly import everything (no hiccups or game crashes from test phases) I'd still wait for texture overhauls to be made before pirating the game to play modded. It'll be a good bit before people get it done but I'm sure it will be worth the wait. In the meantime I'm playing Destiny.

That won't happen because if there was a full mod team working on it getting paid, they'd get DMCA'd by GF and Nintendo. They have to do it for free or else they get fucked over.

They already are. What do you think "imported" means? It means SciresM had to take Omastar's model from another source (Let's Go in this case) and put it into Sword/Shield. Over 500 Pokemon had their models and data completely scrubbed out, Omastar among them.

Maybe it's easy but tedious. Or maybe it's easier when you have a team to do it, rather than just one person. There is an actual middle ground to these situations. Game Freak just doesn't think it is worth putting in the effort. Copying and pasting text from every game since XY is one thing, but editing models every time they make a new engine is more effort than they want to put in. Again, it's also 1 person doing something that multiple people would get assigned as a job in development.

Has anybody figured out how to change raid CPU's teams without breaking the raid? When I edit their Pokemon in PKNX their fainted Pokemon won't count towards the 4 the game lets you have before you get booted. As long as I give them all damaging moves I can win by doing nothing

There is already a ‘disable XP Share’ mod and a ‘rebalance levels + gib better AI’ mod, but the second is balanced for XP Share so combining the two would likely make it a grindfest.

I looked up the Omastar guy, he is currently doing other code analysis stuff like checking the gender ratios (turns out GF removed one of the two bugs in gender ratios, the bugs were in balance so now the ratios are different)
Looks like he is going broad across all the code rather than diving into NatDex stuff

That's literally what they did you dummy, that's why modders aren't bringing them back instantly. It takes some work. It's already astonishong that they showed it's theoretically possible in less than a week. Just goes to show how easy it would've been for GF to put them in.
