Fairy - cute, girly, sometimes pink, sometimes associated with the moon, tricksters and pranksters, actual fae, Pokemon with a pun connection to fae (such as fairy floss for Swirlix line) or Pokemon loosely based on fae (such as carbuncles. nature spirits, leprechauns, and unicorns), and more recently fairy spirits with questionable motives (van either help or harm you)
Even the type specialists who use these Pokemom are different. Psychic specialists are usually scientists, magicians, people with telekinesis and psychic powers, or people with an association to celestial objects. Fairy specialists are ethereal and otherworldly in nature; they don't act or behave like conventional people in the story, and sometimes they have a hidden vicious side to their innocent persona. Bede is the only character that blends both type archetypes, as he is very intelligent for his age and very pragmatic in his thinking but he also feels like an outsider in the story behaving with unconventional motives. For instance, Bede tricks Rose into giving him his Copperajah for his own motives, but it is not out of evil or maliciousness but rather for an unconventional purpose. Bede also acts almost like an outside force in Hop's story arc, as if he were some fairy casting some prank on Hop by subverting him into his depression and changing his team halfway through the story. This makes Hop stronger though and more focused on strategizing. so, like Opal, his power can hurt others but also help them in an unexpected way.
