>>41625750No. You do realize that certain companies have more "influence" over the score, right? SwSh's metacritic "Critic Reviews" page has IGN listed four times (IGN, IGN Japan, IGN Spain, IGN Italia). And all of them are shilling for SwSh. Then there's the Gamer Network (which owns Eurogamer, USgamer, VG247, Rock Paper Shotgun, Nintendo Life) that also has more pull than other standalone critics. Yep. No nepotism here.
Not only that, a lot of metacritic's critic reviews come from foreign websites you never even heard of. Reviews that are sometimes not even written in english and you're just expected to trust these foreigner's scores and judgment.
And besides that, some of the reviewers are from NONGAMING websites like the Washington Post. Websites like these treat gaming as an afterthought and don't really understand how games work. The Guardian's petty review of Final Fantasy 15 gave it a low score, MAINLY because they didn't like Cindy's sexy design. These are your respected gaming "critics", bro.
So no. Metacritic's "Critic Reviewers" are never to be trusted.
