>First Stages: Ashquine (Fire), Acormadillo,(Grass), Grenewt (Water). Grenewt is based on traditional German M24 hand grenades and a newt, Acormadillo is based on Armadillos and sports an Acorn shell, and Holspark is based on a Pony and the ash fall from volcano, being covered in flaming drifts of it
>2nd Stage: (Fire/Ice), Saplillo (Grass/Ground), Salamandier (Water/Steel). Salamandier is based on a salamander and a grenadier and resembles a German grenadier, Saplillo is a larger, older looking armadillo with a large sapling tail, and Ashquine is a slightly larger, bulkier Holsteiner, covered in both snow and snapping campfire flames
>3rd Stage: Droughthorse (Fire/Ice), Glyptoak (Grass/Ground), Newtclear (Water/Steel). Newtclear is based on a Newt and the idiom 'Nuclear Hand Grenade'. It evolves to resemble something akin to a hazmat suit, and carries around two massive grenade-like metal constructs. Glyptoak is based on Glyptodonts, ancient armadillo-like animals and old German oak trees, creating a wise forest-sage like creature. Droughthorse is a Black Forest Draft Horse, made to envoke a snow-covered volcano.

>The other rival would be Fallig, a Deutsch girl whose primary character trait is her unending smugness. She would start out as a mean girls-esque bully who chastizes your character for being in her way as she leaves the professor's lab, evidently getting a starter before you do (she gets the superior one, the professor gets the inferior one as an optional post-game superboss a la what Oak was supposed to be). Fallig is made to seem smarter, wealthier, and at more of an advantage than you, always being one step ahead and endlessly demeaning to you. Even when you beat her, she plays it off as her letting you win and refuses to admit any failings. This ultimately culminates with her rushing out of the Elite 4 all the way at the end of the game and challenging you, furious that she evidently lost, her ego bruised, and desperate to prove her superiority over SOMETHING to help lift her spirits. Once you beat her there, she fully breaks down crying and rushes off, questioning what she did wrong throughout her journey. At the end of the game, you can come back to her house and talk to her, where you learn that she actually did quite a bit of reconsidering after the battle and is taking steps towards being a better person. She's training up a brand new team, this time using friendship and kindness, and you can incrimentally fight her in the post game to see her progress.

Outside of that and the fact that they actually find it and bring it out to face the player at the end, the legendary doesn't factor too much into the story

>Description: A Mainland with lots of forest , plains, a desert in the center and in the center of the desert there's a Uluru equivalent (which is this games version of a wild area) and where the third legendary sleeps . The post game is Tasmania where the version legendary sleeps

>Water: Wombash-Wreckabi-Wreckaroo. Water/Fighting starting from the second stage based on kangaroos. Signature Move Hydraulic Kick : Damage dealing Water Move
>Fire: Novang - Noviper - Pyrophis . Based on Rattlesnakes Fire/Rock in the final stage . Signature Move : Spitfire Fang : Burns the opponent and lowers their evasiveness
>Grass: Hummingleaf - Alcespire-Dalceleaf. Grass/Flying in all stages based on Humming bird/King Fishers/Kookaburra, signature move Wild Symphony resets all stats of battling monsters (except hp of course)

The twist is that the hunters don't wanna used the power for themselves they were hired obviously by some other NPC you interacted with and it's the actual big bad.
Rivals
For context you just arrived from Unova to participate in the league (basically you pulled an Ash) you are gonna live with your uncle the professor
>Your rival meets you at the day of the start of your journey , he ain't gonna lose to a foreigner and specially not you a teacher's pet .
I envision him as a laid back guy except when it is about Pokemon when he becomes hyper competitive.

Did I mention theirs gonna be lots of Poison types this gen? Well guess what
>2) Rock Gym : The Leader basically Michelangelo but he dies statues of Pokemon, GMax Aurorus whose Max move is Max Snowstorm an ice move that turns all proceeding moves into ice moves for 4 turns and causes hail.
Haven't really thought out every gym leader but I want their types to parallel that of Gen 1 and their leaders to be parodies of dead famous individuals.
Also a battle frontier in the Tasmania equivalent that has Gen 2 type equivalent with the champion being a fairy specialist.

Story event areas and based on locations:

Plot: I'll focus the plot more on exploration with multiple side quest than your usual stop the bad guy plot
Make it so you could face the gyms/explore areas in many different paths were the difficulty increases depending on the number of badges you poses rather than make it one locked path
Or at the very least create the illusion of it baby making 2/3 possible paths you could take to the center of the island where the bad guy plot happens .

Version Legendaries
Zetacean : Ancient Whale Pokemon based on basilosaurus , pure water is said his existence is the reason so many ferocious species exist on the waters of Uluru as if Pokemon evolved stronger as in fear of it.

Thylazeus : The Predator Pokemon based of the marsupial lion , Normal/Ground, legend has it it's mere existence force land dwelling Pokemon of uluru are as tuff as they come

Starters:

>3rd gym is a poison gym, leaders ace is a regional variant of palpitoad (poison/ground)
>4th is a flying type gym. Leaders ace is a regional version of Cramorant. (Flying/rock (ate too much))
>5th gym is a psychic type gym. Ace is a pokemon based on a mosquito (bug/psychic)
>6th gym is a ground type gym. Leaders ace is a massive lemming pokemon (ground/dark)
>7th gym is an electric type gym. Leaders ace is an angler fish pokemon (electric/ice) with storm drain.
>8th gym is a dark type gym, leaders ace is dark/ghost type based on "nuuttipukki" (google it)

Elite four
>First member is a normal type user named Lindberg who is a stereotype of the "ideal swedish father" who goes on about how normal he is
>second member is a middle aged looking bearded man with sunglasses who has the stereotypical looks of a russian officer/spy. His name is Paraskieva and he uses steel types.
