Am I truly the ONLY one who doesn’t mind the dex cut!? Are people really this ass blasted they TEMPORARILY can’t spam the ladder with Heatran and Lando and have to muster some braincells to adapt to a new meta!?

Autists like myself and many other longtime Pokemon fans have been transferring mons up from Gen 3 to every gen as it comes out. Our Pokemon are old enough to get driver's licenses in some cases. And now for the first time in almost 20 years, they can't come forward anymore.
There's more to it than the meta, Lando and Heatran. It's just not a good feeling.

Why do people do this? You're never the only one with anything.
And I wouldn't have minded it if there was something to do in the (post)game or if it even had improved animations, but the content is still as lacking as it is in previous games and only the NPCs have good animations.

I don't really get this. Your Pokémon have to be level 100 by now which means you can't even use them in the main game and Pokemon hasnt had a post game to take advantage of levels that high in like a decade and a half. What the fuck is this point. Just to watch them sit in a box?

Dexcut wouldn't be so bad if the quality of the game reflected it. Too bad the game is just another fucking Pokemon game with especially linear routes, a last-minute inclusion of a big empty field with Pokemon littered in it, hardly any landmarks, no dungeons, no optional legendaries to hunt, etc.

Even without the dex cut, the games are still mediocre. Dex cut shouldn't be permanent either way, as they could just increase the roster as they update the Pokemon animations and other shit incrementally.

Ah yes thats whats important about having all Pokemon available.
Not interacting with them on things like Camp, not getting the regional Champion ribbon, not replaying the game with your favorite Pokemon instead of the new ones you used on your first playthrough.

Mostly a sentimental thing. Also with the introduction of mints I have a feeling a lot of mis-natured bros could have used a touch up, maybe get some use of them online.

I use mine to help level grind. Toss a lucky egg on the mon needing xp and run through the E4. I test out other mons but if they aren’t working out I switch to best boy Blaze.

I had a Scizor named Hunter that I caught in the safari zone as a Scyther back in FR or LG (don't remember which, had both). He had False Swipe and was just generally strong, so he led my team to kick ass while grinding the elite 4 for money or shiny hunting/catching things for the dex. Alongside him was a Vaporeon named Liefje for water travel, and a Crobat named Bloodette for Fly.
That was the A-Team. They traveled to every Gen 3 game, plus Colosseum. Then after beating Diamond, they migrated up to Gen 4, and so on.
Only one member of my A-Team remains, and the need for water HM users and a Pokemon that knows Fly is gone too.

Competitive is a joke with or without dex cut. The whole issue is more sentimental and goes against with what used to be their slogan. GF are just retards who can't see past their greed and laziness. It's no wonder games like Pokemon Go are doing far better, sadly.
