I le them and think they're very competitively healthy
Very fair trade off
Leads to interesting gameplay (scouting for a scarf, or switching in on a potential choice pokemon for a free turn, opponent can read this and double, etc)

The way just about everything interacts with dyna is busted. I do agree that it's particularly bad for choice items
