For example lana was a playful trickster type character in sm, but in usum she is completely straight-laced with no humor to her character.
Or that kiawe's trial is trying to be funny in usum, but unless you played sm first, none of the jokes make sense.
It's all just a bunch of really jarring and minuscule changes that make everything but the game play in usum feel really off.
Also the ultra beast hunt with looker and Annabelle was much better than the wormhole ride in usum.
