So Sword and Shield finals are basically just a copy of BW2's Pokemon World Tournament matches where you fight against few of the gym leaders and they fight against themselves too.

Is it possible that they're trying to bring back PWT for SwSh 2(whatever they're gonna be)? They could use the character models from Masters which isnt game by GF but still under TPC and Masters is borrowing Pokemon models from main games.

Not to mention that few NPCs talk about how people from all over the world gather in Wyndon and that apart from Champions Cup also tournaments are being held at Rose's stadium. Soooo...maybe?

That would be cool. If SwSh did anything right it were the battles on stadiums with cheering crowd.
