I don't hate Swsh
But i dont love it either
It makes me feel extremely unfulfilled after completing it
Maybe that is on me for buying the game and not listening but i wanted to be hopeful
Be honest with me vp
What are the chances Gamefreak will go back on their choices here?
Or am i just not going to be enjoying another pokemon game, and should i just give up?
Not trying to hate on anyone who loves/hates the game, i just want to be realistic

Not to be a downer but the chances they go back on their mistakes are slim. I honestly didnt hate gen 8 as much as I expected to, but its not looking good for the future of the franchise. We just need to finally accept that pokemon is created with children in mind and if we want something more itll have to come from another franchise :/

OP, I've been hoping the last 3 gens where growing pains. It's pretty evident this is the norm now.

The only way GF would change the game's direction is upon a financial failure, which doesn't seem to happen with SwSh now.
We warned everybody for months what these games would become, and since you contributed to their goals anyway by buying the game i don't think you're in much of a position to complain.

You were hopeful the games would be good so you bought them anyway. They weren't.
The games have been on a downward spiral for years now and you still hold out hope?

Yeah...I felt the same way, since XY and everything since then is a slow downhill slope. If your definition of an enjoyable game includes the 3DS games then there’s some hope. But if it’s the 2D games...

Sadly no, GameFreak is always gonna step one step forward and five steps back, because they know that no amount of outrage, even with how awful it's been for the past few months, will ever, EVER get them to budge
From here on, they'll keep churning out games that are alright at best
Some stuff to enjoy, but then it loses its luster very quickly
