It would be like him claiming it was the arrogance of man to believe that a 100 foot sheer pit could contain terrestrial dinosaurs because “life, uh, finds a way”, only for the dinos to then sprout wings, which he still didn’t even know they had, and then he gets to smugly say “I told you so” when they escape.
The story should not vindicate a character who’s point is to just stupidly and arbitrarily assert “Nature good, technology bad. Sky god punish you for arrogance of not shitting in a hole in the ground and dying of polio, as he intended.”)
