This is why Greninja is no longer popular. Fuck it a million times over. Remove it from Smash and edit it out of the Detective Pikachu movie while they're at it.

Fuck Ash-Greninja. That whole stupid battle was nothing but bullshit and a major level asspull, and to try and make up for this, the idiots at TV Tokyo decided to have him win Alola (which doesn't even have any prerequisites) as if that somehow makes up for this bullshit. Also the whole "Ash-Greninja" thing was so stupid. Why not just give Ash an actual Pokemon capable of Mega Evolving? Bring back Charizard and give it the Y stone, or have him actually train that useless little Gible?

People had every right to expect him to win. And there was nothing stopping it from winning a League without it really changing the formula of the series, as seen with the lame Orange and Alola Leagues, and also him winning the Battle Frontier despite Agatha and Scott saying the Frontier Brains were on par with the Elite Four.

No. Not really. Ash's Sceptile also beat a Darkrai in the League in Sinnoh. It doesn't help that Alola didn't even set up a proper Champion League since the anime has both a regular league and a champion league for when you beat the regular league. The Alola League was about as lame and pointless as the Orange League.
