I always go back to dolphin for that. Buck fuck, I didn't realize. We got crickets, mantises and other thick-legged bugs, but I can't remember grasshoppers or locusts.

yeah, it seems like it too common an animal for there not to be a Pokemon of. even dolphins have kyogre (orcas are in the dolphin family) and tapu fini (technically, it's more a representation of a dolphin on a totem than an actual dolphin itself) but not a grasshopper

It's ghost/grass because the pokemon IS the seaweed. The anchor is just what the seaweed is attached to. By pokédex data it's a long boi because of the length of the seaweed when it unrolls.

Dhelmise -is- the seaweed.
The seaweed pokemon is just wrapped around an anchor that it uses to attack.

It doesn't. The pouch is literally the only part of it that looks like one, otherwise it's just a generic kaijuu which honestly is the kind of look that a good chunk of the Kanto mons were going for.
