Well I skipped ORAS, honestly don't like hoenn enough to replay it
Played like a quarter to half of SM before getting bored as fuck. Natirally I didn't bother with ultra sun and ultra moon

It has been the case since the begining though, atleast story wise.

Even BW had characters with more life than the cardboard cut outs we get in the games.
