That equates to being awake for 6 days out of 7. They wouldn't be able to function let alone code, they'd be borderline psychotic from extreme sleep deprivation maybe not after one week of that but two or three they'd be fucked up. I've heard of crunch but that'd be beyond torture so I'm wondering if that story isn't embellished a bit.

Yearly cod is made by a studio for three years which has the same concept of a fps shooter copy pasted year after year in the same vein that pokemon is the same mechanically just with some more sprinkles added to the shit ice cream.

From what I heard, the source is a conversation someone had on discord with a person who said they were a GF employee, and made this claim that they worked 144 hours a week.
As far as I know, there's no evidence to back up that claim, and it's extremely hard to believe in the first place, so I really doubt it's legit. It's probably just a fake sob story made up by a shill to garner sympathy for GF and distract from the actual problems with GF and the games.

In Japan if the boss works late others are supposed to stay out of respect. So if masuda was their boss it's like saying it's ok to leave if you are done/need to. Also how old is masuda? I'm not sure about retirement in Japan but in America older workers will often leave early and just answer co-worker questions by email and such when near retirement age.
