If they're slow and defensive, they're shit. If they're somewhat fast and have good offences, they're salvageable.

Vanilluxe is unironically fun to use in doubles because of 100% accurate Specs Blizzard spam.

Their sole purpose was to sweep Dragon types but they got outclassed by Fairy types since they got a dragon immunity and their super effective against Flying is entirely useless as rock and electric moves are far far more common
The only way they could be somewhat useful again would be to make them super effective against Water and they would still have to rival Grass and Electric types who are far more useful
