>>41717143Wanted to a bit of a writeup and got a bit carried away.
Lilligant is the closest to the traditional idea of a shouldermon, hence putting her in the companion slot, but less animallike than the traditional shouldermon and more the occasional fun piggyback ride rather than literally shoulder sitting. Considering her dex entries, she'd be a little bit high maintenance, but she does her best to not let that get in her way. Being a plant, fresh water from Mantine is helpful, as well as the clean air that a day surf-travelling brings.
Mantine is be laid-back and generally affable. This lends well to relaxing surfs, sharing time with Mantine and the rest of the crew (that can fit) on his back. More vocal/chatty than you might think. When he sets his mind to it, he can make quite good time, even leveraging his half flying typing for long leaps to make it more exciting. Sometimes these leaps get a bit too exciting and Golurk (flying alongside as always) has to help recover the one who slipped off.
Golurk is stoic, as would be expected of essentially a ground/ghost robot, but it has its moments. As hard to read as it is, it seems happiest when proving useful to the rest of the crew by flying from place to place with everyone holding tight, or carrying its friends as we travel on foot, or performing the kind of feats of size or strength that only a nine foot tall automaton can. A bit of sadness can sometimes show through when it looks through the windows of buildings it can't quite fit into while most of the rest of the crew is inside.
