>>41669310>split game into 2 versionsThis is the only point I’ll defend as the series was founded on trading for Pokémon, including those you can’t get in your own game. Every gen I’ve been able to easily trade for those I was missing via gts, so it wasn’t really a big deal. Only kids with no friends to trade w, or retards buy both
>release of a third gameYeah this is kind of dumb but back when they would spend 4 years working on new gems (I wish they still did, the games started to drop when they would only spend 3 years, starting w X and Y), it was sometbing nice to hold you over until the new gen. It’d be cool if games like ruby came out with all the emerald features but idk what I would do in a game for 4 years even one w emeralds postgame
>cutoff of transferring old mons in RSIdk i was too Young to care much, but the difference was the Pokémon were in the DATA. I had an action replay and just hacked what I wanted before FireRed came out. Can’t even do that now that they’re literally wiped from the data. Pokémon was only 2 gens in previously so there wasn’t a lot to lose, Vs SwSh deleting over 400 Pokémon from existence.
>huge removal of features in ORASOkay yeah I agree w this one but when the games came out I don’t rememebr anyone leaking it so I didn’t know the games would be void of a postgame. Even if I did tho I still would’ve bought it to have access to the new Megas and online battles w them.
>ultra changes!Yeah the whopping 7 new Pokémon could’ve been added to SM.
>the actual deletion of Pokémon from dataCome on you can’t justify this. As someone who was specifically drawn to the games for collecting new Pokémon and expanding my collection from RS, this does not sit well w me. What’s the point honestly if adding new Pokémon when you’re gonna lose some instead? Sucks The joy out of new Pokémon. I’d rather them Hve add all current Pokémon in the game and just never make new Pokémon again.
