Sorry Shillmon fags, but the 9th Pokemon rep is taken by yours truly! Sakurai has stated that he wishes to "satisfy the fans" with the post-Fighter Pass reveals, so why would Nintendo choose to market a game that the fandom despised (see Metacritic) when Platinum is still a hot topic in the Pokemon community and currently the best acclaimed title in the franchise. And don't forget about the inevitable Diamond and Pearl remakes that will be revealed soon, which means adding Pachirisu to Smash would be a huge marketing opportunity for Nintendo and Game Freak. Sakurai has listened to the fandom and gave them Ridley, King K Rool, and Banjo Kazooie, so it’ll be no surprise when he listens once more and delivers our favorite underdog! But feel free to continue your denial. Your tears of disappointment will be all the more sweeter!
