You could have four little icons to click on and it would show up on the other person's screen so you would know if they don't like it, like it, love it, or holy shit I want that one. It was a nice way for two people to drag and drop Pokemon until they eventually reached an agreement, if any, while using bare minimum communication.
But now Y-Comm trading is just a fucking guess in the dark and I guess putting in smiley or frowny faces is too fucking hard for GameFreak?
