One of the things I was worried about when Sword/Shield was coming out was Gamefreak not only deleting Poke Bank totally (and every Pokemon saved in there would be deleted), but also make the old games unplayable somehow.
We're at the age where game developers believe they're not selling you the game, but merely giving you the opportunity to rent the ability to play the game until they choose not to let you anymore. This needs to stop.
