Let's be real, the best pokemon are all bug-type.
Even those that are secondary bug-type, like Snom, are the highlights of the gen.

Bug is 2nd place. It’s too inconsistent
Half of the bug Pokémon are pure perfection but far too many are total shit

Ghost is the best type because it’s designs are on par with the best bugs but the whole type is consistently good. Even now there’s only ever been a few bad ghost types.

Nope sableye. This is the current chart though. The arceus are undecided.

This is because ghost is so underutilized though. It's the second rarest type. I think Bug gets credit for having both a lot of Pokemon and a high percentage of them being great.
