My mother bought me a pack of pokemon cards a little gift.
I don't usually buy cards, because the're a waste of money but I still enjoy them, and my mother saw them and thought of me, probably all the time I spent as a kid collecting and playing pokemon.
So yes, and honestly while I know there's plenty of people out there who could use a little extra help that play pokemon... for some of us it really is just a part of our lives, like any other fandom.
Don't feel bad about liking pokemon.
