It is possible to do that, as they already have animations and rigged models for the Pokémon in the game.

The only problem would be to code the Pokémon following the player in the game, as hackers don't have fully access to the source code.

While it is not that spectacular a la BOTW, it still improves details in the textures from the ORIGINAL, and is just a baby step to get better graphics in the future.

I would like to know if the HD textures are rescaled by the engine in game tho.

Because I've only seen very low quality textures mod until now.

This reminds me of fallout 3 modders trying to slap their homemade textures on shitty, low poly Bethesda models. It's a valiant effort but ultimately it looks jarring. It's like putting a tiny band aid on a gushing wound.

why the heck are these idiots overtexturing a cartoon game instead of, i dunno, making it more pleasingly cartoony? Sharpen up the textures with a limited palette, not overrrendered details.Make it painterly and crisp like wind waker or something.

Yeah this. Fix the clone stamp textures on the rocks that looks like ass (all the ones that look like pic related), hand paint them to elevate the low poly mesh rather than make it look worse, as they should have been to begin with.
