I had no trouble finding places that allowed me to watch Detective Pikachu for free. Yet I can't find a single damn place to watch pic related. No one on /vp/ seems to talks about this movie either. It just sorta came and went and got forgotten about.

I don't really know. If I had to guess I would say that it's because the movies are all very cheaply made, samey, and mostly terrible, but that's just my opinion. Maybe Japan just got burnt out because they made so many of them.

A box office of roughly 3 billion yen and placing 15th on the yearly chart aren't evidence of a "flop". This isn't the Volcanion movie.

Also, anyone with a shred of common sense would wait for the home release before looking for the movie online. The release date is December 18th.
