No it doesn't. Max attacks are single target. That alone neuters the impact of Dynamax in doubles vs single battles. In many cases, you can plan and play around an enemy Dynamax in many more ways than just Dynamaxing yourself.

May I remind you that Dynamaxing boosts from Max Knuckle, Airstream, ect. also applies to your partner Pokemon, not to mention weather effects, terrains, and immunities up the ass.

It should be a legal requirement for people to actually give (good) ways to deal with something broken in a competitive setting, and not just say “Lmao just adapt” and “just use [Shitty tactic that doesn’t work most of the time]”.

I won't deny that Dynamaxing yourself is still the only way to keep things fully balanced but playing around the timer your opponent puts themselves in and keeping the Dynamax advantage, personally, feels like it actually adds strategic depth in doubles. It also pushes the game towards offense rather than Stall/Protect shitty strats

Actually both Fake Out and Intimidate got nerfed to hell with the new Dynamax mechanics and a large number of viable anti Intimidate mons (Defiant, Competitive, Own Tempo, Clear Body, Mirror Body etc). Plus Incineroar is a shit Dynamax used itself since all it wants to do is spam Fake Out and U-Turn.

If gamefreak is so dead set on making doubles the official format, why don't they make the main game battle format doubles and squeeze more doubles focused moves into movesets? Gale of Darkness was almost entirely double battles
Just say oh in Galar doubles is the battle standard since they treat pokemon battling as more like a team sport

If Doubles is the official format, and everything Gamefreak does is for the express purpose of balancing around Doubles, then why the fuck are the games still based entirely around Singles? They should have made Doubles the default in-game from Gen III onwards.

1v1 = You and your opponent only have 1 mon each
singles = You and your opponent bring 6 Pokemon, but only have one out at a time.

It shits on any strategies that aren't full offense OR full defense stall that's perfectly equipped to wait out your offensive push from Dynamaxing at any possible moment. The thing that suffers the most is anyone playing something balanced that can get caught with its ass open by a DMax

Full defense stall falls apart to Dynamax, I'd say even full offense is pretty limited since it can be checked with even regular mons or adequate support. You have to actually play smart. Screens support, Trick Room/anti Trick Room measures, speed control, status like burn or paralysis are absolutely crucial.
