Seires 3 is also OK, it's middles are much higher but still, drags on in certain areas that people forget due to the highs, but ultimately pretty good.
Haven't finished it but Savers always seemed alright.
Beyond that, Digimon having "far better anime" is over simplified by people who don't like Pokemon's format, rather than its format being inherently flawed. Digimon is more enjoyable to an audience looking for more mature stories, but almost always falls through in establishing a world, so the characters have to be good or it breaks.
