Honestly, for how much Charizard is shilled it surprises me that they just don’t give him a broken hidden ability or adjust his stats. Lucario gets plenty of free shilling and popularity by virtue of being a good Pokémon.

Dynamaxing is culled in favor of tag teams like the TCG. Any 1st stager can be “equipped” to a mon, giving them a pseudo parental bond bonus and HP bonus. Certain pairs have especially good team work and get bigger stat bonuses like Pikachu+Charizard
