Ash is a fucking liar. He doesn't care about his friends AT ALL. He basically did a Masuda with Rotomdex.

Fuck Ash. He doesn't deserve to be a Pokémon Master.

The Rotom phone is a fucking retarded concept. The Rotomdex worked because it was soley unique. But these Rotom phones are now mass produced, and instead of soley analyzing Pokemon data, now they're multipurpose phones for kids so they can use social media, jack off to porn, and play games and shit the Rotom inside has to process all that? Where the fuck are they getting all the Rotoms? They're being trapped against their fucking will inside a phone. Does the Rotom ever even interact with you SwSh? It's basically dying and it's life energy is being used to power the phone. This is fucked.

It's not like they can't just write it so he's less of a chatterbox. Characters to 180% between seasons all the time in Pokemon.

The only Rotoms being used as a devices in the game that actually behave like a sentient creatures are Raihan's, during is attack animations, and the PCs. Nether of which you interact with much.
All the other phones, and bikes just act as completely mundane devices, no more complex than tech that already existed. They also seem to barely influence the shape of the object they are possessing. The bike is just Rotom colored and that's it. But then certain people's phones aren't even Rotom colored.
So in effect, most the Rotoms in the game only seem to be used for an energy resource. But this is supposed to be the game where the main story revolves around becoming overly dependent on Dynamax energy. Seems like the least thematically appropriate gen to do this in.

I think Gamefreak needs to seriously chill with Rotom. Rotom used to be a mysterious semi pseudo legendary with a sinister presence in DPPt. I doubt most people even remember that Rotom is supposed be based of the poltergeist from the movie of the same name. Rotom is just now the face of tech in the Pokemon world. Everything electronic has to have a Rotom somehow involved.

That was only a thing in DP, where it had literally no lore whatsoever. Platinum and HGSS cemented it as the quirky techmon it is now. Also it wasn't based off Poltergeist retard, it just referenced it, it's based off Pulseman, which is also where Team Galactic got their name.
