>>41719945>I can say it's the same feeling as any other Pokémon gameOk then, I guess that's just how you feel. I'd have to play it myself to find out.
>For the most part a massive number of that dex I don't care for even this one.Not an argument. People have always been collecting Pokémon since the beginning. It was once the tagline of the series so you can't even rule it out as being something only a niche thing some people do, and even if it was, that is still no excuse for that feature being removed.
>Pokémon is always 1 step forward 5 steps backCitation needed. That is a very recent trend. Before XY or even SM there have been tons of additions that were not made at the expense of old ones, and ones that aren't generally thrown away a game later never to be brought back.
Gen 2 introduced breeding, held items, Dark and Steel types, Special Atk/Def split, IVs, day/night cycles, shinies
Gen 3 introduced double battles, berry farming, natures, abilities, 510 EV lock, the running shoes, weather effects, the Battle Frontier
Gen 4 introduced phys/spec split, Wi-Fi connectivity, GTS system
Gen 5 introduced hidden abilities, fully animated sprites, let you fight the E4 in any order
And that's just the stuff that stayed. Pokémon does make improvements, and they used to come with nk strings attached. /thread.
>The only reason why earlier games were harder was because of leveling limitations, access to types/movesPrior to Gen 5, Every Gym Leader/Team Leader/E4 has had up to 4/5/5 mons respectively. Now they have 3/4/4. In Gen 6, some of them don't even have 4 moves, and in LGPE that also included the Champion. Need I say more?
>they wrote themselves into a corner/the cost of having so many monsNot an argument. The former is proof of bad writing, not an excuse for it, and the latter is demonstrably untrue; shouldn't the textures be better if they cut mons like they promised?
>NPCs won't changeNot an argument. You can change it, and it starts with (You).
