>>41725046I thought the same because I’m from England, but they went about doing a UK region in the worst way possible. The UK is too big to be a single region, they should’ve focused on one country. Scotland region, Wales region or Ireland region could’ve been good. The sports theme could be applied to any Western European inspired Pokemon region and weakens the identity of Galar. On top of that the shilling further dilutes the identity of Galar. Say what you want about gens 1-5, but they all have their own respective identities without relying excessively on stereotypes, Kanto pandering and appealing to the lowest common denominator. I don’t mind Kalos personally but it falls victim to these problems too.
