Holy shit, Perrserker gets double STAB. Why aren’t more people talking about this? I’m very glad that Perrserker’s good, after normal Meowth’s been stuck with a crappy evolution for so long.

Tough Claws is generally better since you get boosts to all your coverage moves too.

Better than either Persian, at least. Physical stats in the 100s is much better than having the only worthwhile stat be Speed.

I always hated persian, as much as people shit on newer gens of pokemon, persian was always the least pokemon like pokemon to me at least. It's just a fucking mountain lion with a jewel on it's forhead.

So worst case it has adaptability. I still think tough claws might be better. Seems fun in raids if people just wanna spam behemoth blade to damage through shields.

Yeah, Alolan Persian is usable even if usage stats put it in PU. It at least had a role in VGC.

How so? It’s stats are decent, and it has a good movepool. Steely Spirit isn’t even its only good ability.

Outside of boosting the power of allies' steel moves in doubles, how is steely spirit different from steelworker

I forgot, Steely Spirit boosts Ally Stee moves as well. Double STAB isn’t even technically exclusive to Perrserker, it’s great.

Yes, pretty much what this anon said. It's nice to use stupidly strong Iron Heads, but the 30% boost to all contact moves is generally better than a 50% one to one type.

It seems to be functionally identically, aside from boosting ally moves as well. I just like it because it’s given to a Steel-Type, boosting it’s STAB even further. I will admit, though, that giving a Pokémon three attacking types is also very cool, perhaps moreso. Other than that, though, I never really cared for Dhelmise.

Nothing, though having an added effect in doubles makes it generally better. Dhelmise still got the better end of the bargain, though.

It's got high attack, and a decent amount of physical bulk. I'll give you that. But he's slow as molasses and has no special bulk at all. His movepool might be good, but it's wasted when he hardly gets to use it.
