I purposely avoided the whole prerelease period, but why are the towns in SwSh empty as fuck? I bought the game expecting more than this...

The music is disappointing too. Usually the music in every Pokemon game is top notch, but this time it's just good. A lot of tracks sound rushed, as well as a lot of reused tracks (Route 3 theme, Route 10 too short, reusing SM capture sfx etc...).

It seems like a double-edged sword. On one hand you'll be surprised and might be less aware of the issues, but on the other you could be more disappointed than ever because you expected so much more.

My theory is Gamefreak desperately needs new level designers. In a scaled down cramped 3ds game these things wouldn’t look so empty and barren. They need to get new people experienced in designing large 3D spaces suitable for high resolutions

Yeah, I was expecting my ears to enjoy the game a lot more.

It’s a shame isn’t it. The encounter themes were decent. I don’t mind Bede, Oleana and Hop’s battle themes. But otherwise the music is a bit weak. Wyndon theme sounds very tacky with the synths.
