Gen 6 was clearly rushed to cash in on the 20th anniversary. What do you guys think they were planning to do in a Z version because it appears as if they were combining story elements from both XY and ORAS into something huge in Z.

What they rushed for the 20th was Gen VII, dumbass.
Some jew in TPCi probably told GF it was a better idea to promote a whole new generation, even if rushed, instead of devoting resources to fix XY and make a Platinum-tier third version.

Gen 6 clearly had another game planned maybe for a 2015 release but was more than likely dropped to put resources into Sun and Moon. Z was dropped but merchandise and the anime still moved on ahead throughout 2015. It’s so obvious that you’d have to be blind not to see it.

I would've preferred an XY sequel over getting the Hoenn remakes desu. ORAS was disappointing, and Kalos was more or less irrelevant within just a year.
