I feel like enough time has passed to ask this. To any of the anons who got it on day 1, does it still hold up today? Has your level of appreciation/enjoyment for these games changed since then?

Comparing first installments, I liked it better than XY and SM, about par with BW (people forget how empty that game was since BW2 fixes a lot of the problems). I'm satisfied for the most part, but I wish it was longer.

I'm starting to get kind of bored, but it's been better than the last few games by far. Still enjoying breeding competitive teams right now, but the Wild Area has lost a lot of its novelty by this point.

My main problem with it is how much they shat on the Battle Tower. No streak, no punishment for losing, you can bring in legendaries and dynamax while the npcs don't, only 2 BP per win. It fucking sucks compared to the Battle Tree in SM and I actually like spending my time at the Battle Tower clones each game.

I mean, I have 95 hours on it already, last time I reached 95 hours on a Pokemon in two fucking weeks was frankly fucking never, so I presume they did something right. Which is baffling since I do see glaring flaws in the game, yet it's easily the most entertained I've been with one of them in a long time.

It did, but it was fucking nothing compared to DPP's. It lasted me like 2 hours to do everything else the game opened.

People underestimate how important the QoL improvements are to the overall experience of a Game like Pokemon, where the majority of your time is spent doing bean-counting autistic shit and battling and what not. SwSh might lack content compared to previous games, but the content that it does have is alot breezier and smoother to make use of, so it's more pleasurable.
