They should be illegal and the ones that make them need to be sued for infringing copyright and create misinformation and false expectations, like Shigeru Ohmori (a guy that knows something about pokemon) said, creating a new creature can take months and it's not just simply coming with a cool concept, design and basic anatomy. There has to be social critic and expression behind them, something that a basement incel that just creates "fakemon" for fun can never come up with.
